Andrew Bailey, RPA, FMA, Vice President of Operations
Andrew joined the Fortress team in 2022 and brings over 25 years of experience garnered through progressive positions, including leasing and property manager roles with one of the country’s largest pension funds and handling real estate for Canada’s largest retail co-operative. With professional designations in property and facility management, Andrew is passionate about maximizing value for investors and sharing his expertise in the industry with the talented Fortress team and helping them grow their knowledge and skills in an engaging and empowering environment. Unlike most of the office, he cheers for the Calgary Flames.
Ryan Glover, B.Comm, Leasing Manager
Ryan joined Fortress in 2011 after working in corporate administration for the University of Saskatchewan. He obtained his B.Comm. with a specialization in finance from the U of S. Plus, he’s completed courses in mortgage, money lending, and anti-fraud regulations, making him a valuable asset to our team. When he’s not at work or coaching hockey, you can find him enjoying family time or cheering on his kids in their own sporting adventures!
Bree Wilson, Leasing and Operations Specialist
Bree joined Fortress in 2010, bringing valuable experience from the insurance and financial services industry. Known for her organization, decisiveness, and commitment to exceptional client service, she’s the go-to for getting things done under pressure. When she’s not busy overseeing the leasing process and leading our awesome administrative team, you can find her fine-tuning policies, crafting procedures to keep everything running smoothly, and spearheading the company’s philanthropic initiatives to give back to the community.
Andrew Fritz, RPA, Alberta Area Manager
Andrew started with Fortress in 2007 as construction supervisor with several years experience as a Red Seal journeyman carpenter in the commercial sector. In 2015 he received his Construction Administration Certificate from the U of A Faculty of Extension and attained his BOMI RPA designation in December, 2021. In his current role he oversees the management of more than 25 properties in the city of Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Bradley Redman, Senior Property Manager
Bradley joined Fortress in 2022 as a Property Manager, leveraging 18 years of experience in property management and executive roles. He is dedicated to customer service and asset management, overseeing the daily operations of our properties in Saskatoon and the surrounding areas. Outside of work, you can find Bradley enjoying time on the golf course.
Babita Khurana, CPM, RPA, Property Manager
Babita joined the Fortress team in 2024. She brings over 20 years of comprehensive property management experience across office, retail, industrial, and hospitality sectors. Known for her exceptional customer service, she has consistently fostered high tenant retention and exceptional client satisfaction. As a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and a Real Property Administrator (RPA), Babita combines her expertise with a passion for delivering top-notch service in property management.
Darryl Harder , Maintenance Manager
Darryl joined Fortress Properties in early 2010 as a maintenance technician, bringing with him an impressive 40 years of experience in the field. His technical expertise, leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities propelled him to the role of department manager in 2014, where he now oversees our talented team of technicians. Outside of work, Darryl loves to embrace the great outdoors. Whether he's hiking, fishing, or simply enjoying nature, he finds joy in every adventure.
Frank Richter , Construction Manager
Frank joined Fortress in 2015, bringing a wealth of experience as a Red Seal journeyman mason, estimator, and contractor. His construction savvy quickly made him a standout construction manager. In 2016, he earned a master’s certificate in Project Management from the University of Saskatchewan’s Edwards School of Business. On top of that, he added some extra tools to his belt with training as a Loss Control Surveyor and mastering AutoCAD. Frank is all about building not just structures, but a solid foundation for success! When he’s not busy on the job site, you can find Frank flying his airplane. He loves the freedom of the skies.
Sharon Neufeld, Maintenance Coordinator & Office Manager
If you call our office, you’ll likely be greeted by the cheerful voice of Sharon! With a talent for connecting you to just the right person, she ensures your questions get answered quicker than you can say “maintenance magic.” With over 20 years of experience in the HVAC and Maintenance industry, Sharon’s expertise is not only impressive but also invaluable in helping you determine the services you need while keeping our office running smoothly.
Clementynne Torres, Leasing Administrator
Clementynne joined Fortress in 2022, utilizing her background in medical administration and management in her role as a Leasing Administrator. She is responsible for drafting lease documentation for our Alberta Properties, making sure every detail is spot on. Though her undergraduate studies were interrupted when she moved to Canada in 2017, her diverse experiences have enriched her professional journey. Outside of work, she’s a dedicated fur mom to Baymax, her affectionate and trusty dog.
Emily Newman, Leasing & Property Administrator
Emily joined Fortress in 2023 as a Leasing and Property Management Administrator. She oversees weekly and monthly reporting for our building portfolio across multiple departments and manages all Saskatchewan leases. A distinguished graduate of the University of Saskatchewan in 2019, Emily brings a strong background in property management, with a focus on facility and maintenance coordination. Outside of work, you can find her enjoying live music events and being a proud dog mom to our office dog, Wally!
Annie Quinn, Property Administrator - Alberta
Annie became part of the Alberta team in 2022 as an Assistant Property Administrator and quickly earned a promotion to Property Administrator in 2023. She holds a certificate in Business Administration and Accounting Technology from Robertson College and is currently working toward her Property Administrator Certificate through BOMI, with plans to earn her RPA designation. Outside of work, Annie enjoys relaxing at the lake and exploring tropical destinations for a bit of adventure and sun.
Lindsay Allard, Administrative Assistant -Alberta
Lindsay joined the Alberta team in 2024 as an Administrative Assistant, bringing with her a wealth of experience in property management and a broad background in various administrative roles. With an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Okanagan College, specializing in Marketing, Lindsay has honed a versatile skill set that makes her an invaluable asset to the team. Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her 1-year-old daughter, taking her pups for walks, and caring for her horses, balancing her professional and personal life with enthusiasm.
Dianne Machado, Administrative Assistant -Alberta
Dianne joined the Alberta team in June 2024 as an Administrative Assistant, specializing in accounts receivable administration. With over 15 years of experience, she holds diplomas in Medical Office Administration and Office Administration. Her career includes eight years as an Office/Administration Manager at a landscaping company and two years handling invoicing and accounts receivables at a Plumbing/HVAC company. Outside of work, Dianne is a proud grandmother and mother to two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and her senior dog, Sally.
Gene Oronce, Administrative Assistant -Alberta
Gene joined Fortress in 2024 as the Administrative Assistant for the Alberta office. With seven years of experience in office administration and operations across a range of industries, including real estate, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Gene is dedicated to providing reliable and efficient support, both internally and externally. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new hobbies and cherishing time with her loved ones.
Kimoya Smalling, Leasing & Property Administrator
Kimoya joined Fortress in 2024, leveraging nine years of experience in residential leasing and property administration, tribunal affairs, and recovery and defaults, as she transitions into the exciting world of commercial leasing and property administration. Having an eye for detail and a drive for continuous learning, Kimoya is committed to ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every aspect of her role. Outside of work, you’ll find Kimoya whipping up delicious plant-based dishes or playing teacher to her curious little ones.
Jeff Wiebe, CPA, Chief Accountant
Jeff joined the team in 2024, bringing with him twelve years of experience in the field. Most recently, he served as a senior manager with a Big Four public practice firm. Jeff earned his CPA designation in 2017 after completing the Master of Professional Accounting program at the University of Saskatchewan. As Chief Accountant, Jeff is responsible for overseeing a talented team, ensuring that timely and accurate financial information is available for strategic decision-making. When he’s not balancing spreadsheets or optimizing financial processes, you’ll find him teeing off on the golf course or spending quality time at the park with his wife and daughter.
Kamlesh Kumar, Senior Accountant
Kamlesh came to Fortress in 2022 and is an experienced accountant with expertise in GL accounting, reconciliation, and forecasting. He has over 10 years of experience working in the corporate setting. He is also knowledgeable in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and cash flow management. When he’s not crunching numbers, you can find Kamlesh diving into the vibrant world of cultural events, wandering through art museums, or lending a hand to nonprofit organizations.
Bev Petryshyn, Accounts Payable Clerk
Bev joined our team in 2019 as an Accounts Payable Clerk, bringing with her a wealth of experience from a distinguished career in corporate accounting. Her expertise spans all facets of the field, making her a valuable asset to our organization. Outside of work, Bev is passionate about staying active and can often be found practicing Pilates or hitting the bowling lanes.
Hanna Manoach, Senior Accountant
Hanna joined Fortress in 2023 as a Senior Accountant. After earning her accounting degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2020, she dove headfirst into the real estate industry. Hanna brings over a decade of accounting experience across different sectors. When she’s not balancing budgets, you might find Hanna trying out local eateries or planning her next travel adventure.
Scott Thorsteinson, Lead Maintenance Technician
Scott joined Fortress in 2016 as a Maintenance Technician, bringing along an impressive 25 years of experience in the construction industry. His journey started as a young cleanup worker on job sites, but with hard work and dedication, he climbed the ranks to become a skilled carpenter and crew leader. Along the way, he’s tackled just about every task imaginable in the building process. When he’s not on-site helping our tenants and working on construction projects, you can find him working on cars and cheering for his kids at hockey and football games.
Zac Junop, Maintenance Technician
Zac joined Fortress in 2022 as a maintenance technician specializing in commercial flat roofing. Prior to that, he spent 6.5 years with a roofing company, developing skills in installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems. With a strong attention to detail, Zac is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship on every project. When Zac isn’t working on rooftops, you can find him collecting Happy Meal toys, showcasing his love for unique and nostalgic items.
Akbar Ali, Maintenance Technician
Akbar joined Fortress in 2013 as a Maintenance Technician, quickly becoming an integral part of our team. With a friendly smile that greets tenants daily, he is dedicated to ensuring their needs are met and their experiences are positive. His passion for his work shines through in every interaction, as he builds meaningful connections with both colleagues and tenants. Akbar’s commitment to excellence and his approachable demeanor make him a valued presence on-site. Outside of work, Akbar enjoys spending time with his family, and world travel.
Harrison Brownbridge, Maintenance Technician
Harrison joined Fortress in 2023 and quickly became a vital part of the team. With his expertise in general maintenance and roof repairs, he’s been keeping our properties in tip-top shape. Known for his commitment to thorough repairs and efficient task delegation, Harrison ensures everything runs smoothly. When he’s not busy assisting tenants and enhancing our properties, you can find him on the ice, where he shines as a standout hockey goalie!
Matt Mann, Maintenance Manager -Alberta
Matt started with Fortress 2010, where he kicked off his career as an apprentice for the construction department. Matt earned his journeyman ticket in 2012 and was promoted to Maintenance Manager in 2019. Whether it's tenant improvements, construction or a maintenance challenge, Matt's got it covered! When he's not on the job, you'll find Matt embracing his love for hockey and winter sports, or diving into the world of Pokémon card openings. He loves spending quality moments with his wife of 17 years and their amazing pups.
Jesse Hinton, Maintenance Technician - Alberta
Jesse joined the Alberta team in 2023 as a Maintenance Technician. He brings a wealth of hands-on experience in construction and maintenance. Jesse has worked a variety of construction jobs, traveling across the country and even to the Arctic! Specializing in flat roofing for years, Jesse has honed expertise in this area and continues to apply that knowledge at our properties. Outside of work, Jesse channels a passion for coaching by training athletes of all ages in various combat sports, balancing a dedication to craftsmanship with a love for mentorship and fitness.
Wally , Good Boy
Wally joined Fortress in 2023 alongside Emily. A Beagle-Border Collie mix, he was proudly adopted from Saskatoon Dog Rescue. Wally works every Friday, brightening the spirits of both staff and clients alike. His cheerful presence brings joy to the office, making the end of the week extra special for everyone. Outside of work, Wally loves running laps at the dog park and taking leisurely walks by the river. Although he’s allergic to chicken, he can’t resist sneaking a bite when no one’s looking! When he’s not busy at the office or outdoors, you can find him at home watching videos of cows and turkeys.
